Luke McGrath's pathway is one of the longest-running Leinster stories in the current squad. He came through St Mary's College, where he was a standout schoolboy scrum-half, before moving through Ireland U20, the Leinster Academy and into senior rugby.

His schools profile is a major one. McGrath captained St Mary's College to the 2012 Leinster Schools Senior Cup title, one of the school's great modern rugby moments. That leadership marker followed him into the professional game, where he eventually became a Leinster captain and one of the province's senior leaders.

McGrath made his Leinster debut as a teenager in 2012 and has built a long senior career in the province's scrum-half group.
